National Labor Relations Board issues guidelines useful to prepare social media policies

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)  issued a third report on social media based on cases brought to the agency.  The report provides useful guidelines for employers to review their current policy or to prepare one  that is lawful under the National Labor Relations Act. Social media provisions are   unlawful when they interfere with the rights of employees to discuss wages and working conditions with co-workers.   The NLRB Report  details seven cases involving such provisions, including one where the entire policy was found to be lawful.
