Robert Alex Fleming is a seasoned labor and employment attorney based in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He is also an experienced trial lawyer skilled in commercial and employment litigation. Admitted to practice law in 1987, he first gained trial experience by defending insurance companies in tort claims; participating in over ten trials during his initial years of practice. Subsequently his trial work shifted to wrongful discharge, employment discrimination and arbitration. Fleming has participated in well over 30 full trials and 200 arbitrations. Currently, his trial practice focuses on employment issues.
EDUCATION
B.A. in Political Science/International Relations from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. and his J.D. from Interamerican University in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Fleming is admitted to practice in Puerto Rico (1987), New York (1995), Texas (1992) , U.S. Supreme Court (1990), U.S. Court of Appeals First Circuit (1989) and U.S. District Court PR (1991).
LECTURES
Fleming has lectured on numerous seminars for the PR Bar Association, PR Manufacturers Association, PR Association of Labor Practitioners, National Business Institute, among other organizations as well as for many clients.
ORGANIZATIONS
Fleming is presently a member of the Federal Bar Association, the PR Chamber of Commerce and the PR Association of Labor Practitioners. He has served in the Labor Commission of the PR Bar Association and its Pro Bono Section. During 1995-96 Fleming served as Vice Chairman of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
